Hi, I’m Rachel (she/her), a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Australia. I work online with clients across the world (except the US and Canada), offering a space that’s compassionate, non-judgmental, and real.
I’m a transracial adoptee from Nepal, raised in a white British family, and I’ve lived in more than ten countries. Moving so often shaped a lot of who I am. It taught me about identity, grief, change, and the quiet ache of not always feeling like you belong. It also helped me understand just how important it is to be seen and heard for your full story - not just the parts that make sense to other people.
I found therapy as a teenager during a really dark time. It gave me space to process things I didn’t have words for yet. Since then, therapy has remained a steady part of my life through different transitions and challenges. It’s one of the reasons I do this work today.
I often work with people navigating big life changes; whether that’s moving countries, coming to terms with adoption, exploring identity, or simply trying to make sense of complicated feelings. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I’m affirming of LGBTQ+ identities, expansive gender experiences, neurodiversity, and kink — and I care deeply about holding space in an anti-oppressive and culturally safe way.
Outside of work, I love exploring new places (even after all the moving!). I’m still getting to know Australia as my home and feel most at ease in the sunshine. I enjoy crafting, cooking, doing yoga, and spending time with friends. These small things ground me, and I think they matter just as much as the big things.
If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just want someone to talk things through with, you’re welcome here — wherever you’re starting from.
